Last night Rachael received a call for transplant and after a long and anxious wait to find out the quality of the lungs she went into theatre this evening to receive her new lungs. She's still in theatre now and it's likely that there wont be any news for a little while until she's out of theatre and into ICU. I was so pleased to hear that she's received her transplant at last and hope all goes well for her. Rachy, her family and the donor family are in my thoughts. Rachy knew she hadn't got much time left without a transplant and did this amazing item on her local news just a couple of days ago. Any updates will be posted to her blog which you can visit by clicking on her name in the first sentence. They may be posted as new blog posts in the future but for now just this blog post is being edited with updates added.
