But I've got lots of exciting things planned this fortnight too to break up the revision :)
Tuesday 7th is Donor Day, so I'm doing quite a bit for that. Tomorrow morning I'm going to London to take part in a photocall for the media to promote Donor Day. Then on Tuesday I'm running a Donor Desk in the village library (where my mum works) to talk to people about organ donation and encourage them to join the Organ Donor Register. And on Tuesday evening I'm returning to London to attend a drinks evening to celebrate Donor Day :D It sounds very exciting and quite posh, so I'm unsure about what I'm going to wear as I only own jeans and casual tops! Maybe that's an excuse for some shopping while I'm in London tomorrow ;)
I'm looking forward to promoting organ donation and having the opportunity to make a difference. And at the photocall and the drinks evening I'm really looking forward to meeting people who feel as passionately about organ donation as I do, especially:
- Holly S - the organiser of a fantastic campaign called 'The Gift Of Life' of which Donor Day is a part of. Holly S has recieved a kidney transplant herself and you can read her blog here.
- Emily - the vice-chair of a fantastic charity called Live Life Then Give Life. Emily T has received a double lung transplant herself and you can read her blog here.
- ~ Abby - Emily's sister. Abby is 18 like me and has been great to chat to about braces ;)
- Holly C - a kidney transplant recipient. You can read her blog here.
