Yesterday I only had first 2 lessons at school, so at break time I got the bus into town where I met up with my mum. We had fun shopping and didn't spend too much money :) For a while I've been looking out for a belt that will keep my jeans up, so I was very happy to find 2 very cheap in town.
Then after shopping I went to hospital H for a routine blood test. It went really smoothly and the phlebotomist got the blood first try :) The results will be faxed from hospital H to hospital B. And if the results are all fine then my bloods tests will only need to be 3 monthly :D
I don't know if you'll have heard of a singer/songwriter called Taylor Swift. 'Love Story' is a great song with a lovely video, and it's currently number 2 in the UK charts. You can see it here. I really like 'Love Story' so I decided I wanted to buy Taylor Swift's first album. After not being able to find it in the shops I spent some time tracking it down on the Internet last night, as it seems to have only been released in the US. Her second album will be released here in the UK next week though. But I sourced a copy through the fantastic Amazon and it should be dispatched today or tomorrow :) So I'm really looking forward to getting hold of that album, but I really hope my laptop will co-operate enough to let me put it onto my iPod.
I coped well in Japan and didn't get too tired, and since I've been back my tiredness seemed to be a lot better. But this morning when my alarm went off I woke up feeling exhausted, so I didn't make it into school today. I went back to bed for a few hours and have spent the rest of the day just relaxing - watching TV and reading. I finished my book 'Lottery' on Tuesday evening, so started reading 'Thanks for the Memories' by Cecelia Ahern last night. I don't often give up on books, but I got quite frustrated with 'Thanks for the Memories', and more specifically the unrealistic plot and coincidences, so I've decided not to read any more of it. Later today I'll be going back to 'Middlesex' and I'll let you know what I think of that. Even though I've spent most of today doing nothing I still feel really tired. So I'm going to see how I feel tomorrow morning before I decide whether to go to school or not.
Holly, a fellow transplant recipient, is currently running a brilliant campaign to raise awareness of organ donation. Her latest advance in the campaign is the organisation of Donor Day. More information can be found on Holly's blog or Facebook. Please get involved if you can as it's a great chance to raise awareness and encourage more people to sign up to the organ donor register. I'm not sure if I'm brave enough to run a Donor Desk at school, but my mum will put up a donor desk or some kind of display at our local library where she works.

Love Emma x
Thanks Emma.
ReplyDeleteI don't know why my bloods are so frequent (3 or 4 weekly) at the moment. I was having them 3 monthly til around Christmas when hospital B started requesting them more frequently. But all my results had been fine! But it'll be nice to get them back to 3 monthly. Hopefully your bloods will be less frequent soon.

Hi Molly!
ReplyDeleteLove the Love Story song, you'll have to let me know what her album is like!
Thanks so much for posting about Donor Day, really appreciate it!
You take care and rest up! x
I hope you will get better after you will rest but don't make an excuse from this to skip the school.
ReplyDeleteTake care and thank you for the Donor day.You are a kind person.
Thanks for commenting Holly :) Glad you like 'Love Story' too. No problem about mentioning Donor Day - if it raises awareness then it'll be great!
